Crochet Stars Vintage Christmas Garland - Wreath Decoration - Free Photo - Tutorial.

Hey, everybody!
I hope to make it a regular thing - placing simple photo - tutorials on my blog to crochet alone with you. Please, share your projects with me!
This wreath is not done :))) I will add something else, keep stopping by, my friends!
I used crochet hook 2 mm and Knit Picks Comfy Fingering Yarn in Ivory, but you can use any yarn and suitable hook.
You will also need fabric stiffener, like Stiffy by Plaid and small brush.
Stitches (in American terminology):
ch - chain stitch
sl st - slip stitch
dc - double crochet

(Beginning loop: ch 20,

sl st in 1st ch).

Ch 13 (before 1st star), *star: ch 12, sl st in 4th ch from hook (do not count one on hook),

3 sl st,

13 dc in ch-4 ring,

sl st in same ch as last (out of 3) sl st,

3 sl st,

ch 3, sl st in next dc (1st out of 13 in ring),

[ch 3, dc in next dc,

ch 2,

sl st in last dc (under 2 strands),

ch 3, sl st in next dc] rep 5 times,

ch 3, sl st in same ch as 3rd sl st,

 2 sl st.*

[Ch 25, star (from * to *)] rep as many times as needed for the wreath. Finish with ch 13, ending loop: ch 20, sl st in 20th ch from hook. Fasten off. Weave in ends.

Use fabric stiffener for the stars (Stiffy by PLAID at Amazon), they will look perfect and outside-proof! Pour a small amount of Stiffy on wrong side of every star, and using brush, cover the whole star (I did it on the kitchen counter, it's water-based, so I just wiped the counter after I was done), to the ends of beams, hang garland somewhere, adjust stars shape and let it dry overnight.

Happy crocheting, my friends!
Natalia
