New project is done. Radiant Orchid Crochet Dress.

I used this stitch in  a few of my projects and did not get tired of it, apparently. I have a top, made with this stitch out of #10 cotton crochet thread. Many people asked me for the pattern.
So I decided to use thicker yarn and this is 4 ply linen from YarnStories at Etsy, (click to get to the store), hook 2 mm, 300 g used. It can be made as a top or a dress.
Rows of flowers are made as loops, without fastening off.

Do you have a 'guilty pleasure'? Mine is watching 'Real Housewives of New York". :))))
I constantly tease my husband for watching girly series on TV, so when I watch "Houswives', he is having a blast shaming me. :))) Anyways, I saw one of the girls wearing pants with a tunic. So I thought, 'Why not wear it with linen pants?' I think it looks chic. I guess it's not a complete waste of time - watching the show.

I think I need to get white under-dress for lining, it looks so much better.

Happy crocheting, my friends! Gone to work on the pattern! :))
Love,
Natalia

  5. I used to watch all the Housewives available on Bravo TV, those of NJ being my favorites :-) But it's been more than a year now that I made myself say "buy" to that show ))) Still I have another TV addiction and that ID Channel (Investigation Discovery). My husband is joking that if the police knew how passionate I am about it they would arrest me :-)
As to your new dress it is beautiful as all of your other projects. I personally prefer my under garment being exact same color as the crochet. I once even had to dye my silk chiffon under skirt with two different dyes to match the Cascades skirt I made. But of course that's the matter of personal preferences. In this case I'd agree that white looks crisp and bright thus making the tunic pop while beige calms it down.

  7. This pattern is beautiful. I wanted to know when you use a thread #10, do you use two stands or one?

    1. thank you! I used one strain. It's my favorite size, but I think not many people share this preference with me. :))) Yet I think fine lace crochet is the best.
