Tutorial for crocheting or knitting 3 strands from 1 ball of yarn.

My recent project required using the same yarn 1 strand and 3 strands.
While I could have made a new ball of yarn, making it 2 strands first, then 3 strands, there is a much faster way to do that. There are a few explanations on the internet you can find and I made a short tutorial in pictures for my project I want to share here:


There is only one draw back: it's a bit annoying to stop every time you reach the loop. So I thought it might be a good idea to make a whole ball using this technique first especially if you have a pair of helping hands.
