Healthy and beautiful crocheter. Best beauty products are often free.

hey, everybody!
You know they say best things in life are free - hugs, friends and family, smiles, sleep, laughter, happy memories, love.
Sometimes best beauty products are free or cost very little.
I feel so brain-washed by beauty and health monstrous industries, that sometimes it doesn't occur to me that I can make better product by myself.
1. I was searching for the best face moisturizer, figured Aloe Vera would be a good choice. What I found out all Aloe Vera gels out there contain nasty chemicals, including carcinogens!
After a few days I gave up and then found out that getting Aloe Vera plant on your window solves the problem. Better... I already had one!
What I do now, I cut a little piece in the morning and at night, split it and apply gel on my face and neck. The plant requires very little care and grows fast.

2. I've been trying to go "low poo"for a while.

The adjusting process takes time, but it is worth it. I wash my hair once a week with shampoo and 2 times with flaxseed gel, I make myself. I also apply flax-seed gel on my hair as stay-on styling gel after washing.
I never knew my hair is curly! They feel so soft, there is no build up at all!
I've been washing my hair with Head&Shoulders, that contains methylisothiazoline, for years with no result!!! I was brain-washed by the advertisement. No more. I am dandruff free now without any chemicals.

3. Since I was in my 20s, I had yeast infections one after another. Listening to advertisements, I tried to buy different intimate soaps, spent a ton of money on treatments. I always was wearing everyday pads. Finally when I was 35 I found this information on the internet: no soap at all, no pads ever, only cotton underwear. Following latter I haven'd had an yeast infection ever since.
If you have beauty secrets of your own, please, share!
Stay healthy, my friends! We have a work to do - saving this beautiful craft.

Finally, a little sneak-peak.
I finished a project and working on a pattern right now.
It's a top:

Happy crocheting, my friends and love to you all!

  1. Thank you so much for this great recipe! I will try it as soon as it's warm enough to air dry my waves.
BTW, I have found with my aloe plant that less is more when it comes to watering. I use soil for cactus that drains really fast and only water when it's completely dry.
    Thanks, again!
