Doily purse with peacock lining. Pattern available.

Please, note, this is crochet PATTERN!

Just made another version of Doily Bag with peacock lining. I couldn't resist to that shiny beautiful brocade fabric! It's a treat for my inner magpie.

Get ready for the afternoon tea in the garden. This purse is a nice accessory for the beautiful you!
Crochet level:
- Easy/Intermediate.
You should know how to crochet following stitches:
ch (chain), sl st (slip stitch), sc (single crochet), BPsc (back post single crochet), hdc (half double crochet), dc (double crochet), tr (treble crochet).
This pattern includes:
  • my love to every single step in creating crochet patterns :)
  • written instructions;
  • step-by-step pictures;
  • charts.
Instructions are given in English language, American terminology.
If you are not familiar with crochet charts, you can follow step-by-step-pictures and written instructions, given under each image.
Take a look at charts now and then and you might become a chart guru after all :)
Crochet hook:
- 1.8 mm.
Recommended materials:
  • about 3 oz/85 g of natural (or other color) cotton thread size 10;
  • DMC Pearl Cotton Thread size 5 (27 yds/25 m skein) in Lt Green, 224 Very Lt Shell Pink (1 skein each), 223 Lt Shell Pink (2 skeins) colors;
  • about 22”/56 cm of matching sari/brocade fabric for lining;
  • about 22”/56 cm of quilted fabric for lining;
  • 6 ft/1.8 m of 3/16”/4.5 mm cord for handles;
  • tapestry needle;
  • matching yarn color extra-wide double folded bias tape (will be visible);
  • 20 mm 4 wooden round beads (e. g. Craftwood at Jo-Anne);
  • matching yarn (and another one matching quilted lining if of a different color) sewing thread;
  • sewing machine.
Purse size:
- doily/purse is about 20”/51 cm in diameter (13.6 rounds = 4”).
Notes:
- doily size would differ from one crocheter to another, so it’s better to make a doily first, measure it and buy fabric for lining after.
My biggest gratitude for your interest in my pattern!

    1. Thank you! Yes, but in case of quilted lining, it's already made quilted fabric.
