Stone Maxi skirt. Pattern.

I recall somebody was asking me for the pattern.
Today  I encountered that post:
and here is another one: http://www.liveinternet.ru/users/elisabet_l/post182579539/

These are not the exact charts, but something close.
Another choice.
Exact chart for in - between parts.
This one I figured out, something close again. If anybody is interested, I can make a chart.
Here is mine. And here.
And here you can buy it for $98.

We've got snow in Pennsylvania. Finally!

And since the tires on my car are really bad, I just stayed at home.
I always have some projects in my mind which are cooking and getting ready to pull them out...
This one I started a few days ago.

A skirt.

Another one is about to get started.
A 100 % - linen scarf.
This one isn't cooked yet. I still haven't decided how it will look. I just fell in love with that linen and Patton's socks yarn.

And another photo-project I completed today....

:)) Have a good weekend!

Do you hate charts?

Sometimes I reffer to Russian recurses in my posts and I see some people get frustrated because they don't speak Russian. :))
Somebody asked me for a Russian explanation how to make those famous shorts from "Something borrowed".

"Good news": there are usually no patterns in those references I give. It's just chatting mostly. All useful information there are charts which are the same for all languages.
Everybody is trying to figure out the best way to make what they decided to make all together. I suggest to take any shorts which fit perfectly and use them as a pattern, get charts from the topic...
get yarn and try to make your own.
If you can't read charts, it might be a good time to start.
Here is some information:
The thing is that Russian or Japanese recurses  give you charts, not patterns. When I came here I was frustrated with patterns written on a few pages, I still am. I don't know how that Vogue survived when I was knitting a tunic from it. I was really a danger for people around me back at that time.
I don't get it why instead not to put a single chart.
I understand people who are used to written patterns, but we all should get out of our "OK" plateau eventually.
I have many of those plateaus of my own and I know how hard it is to make a step, but it will pay back!

Combined Ivory Pullover and Crochet Locket Scarf.

I made the scarf a while ago and needed something to wear it with. So I've decided to make a plane pullover. I knitted it all, except a collar and ripped it off because couldn't stand that plainness.

Scarf pattern is from Nicky Epstein book:

So I started all over again (which happens more often then we wish :). Here is the result which I like.
It's Lion Brand Fishermen's wool yarn. I wasn't sure if I  was going to wear that scarf and it takes a lot of yarn to make one, so I used this not very expensive yarn. But it's pure wool so it's not that bad.

My son and husband say I look kind of crazy wearing that scarf.

Crochet earrings. Star flower.

The same trick: thin black wire on the back side around the star.

Snowflakes earrings. New life.

I made some before and put starch spray on them, but still, they were kind of soft and started to curl in a while.
So a sewed very thin wire on back side around the flakes and it's just perfect now. I love them.

My ruffle sun skirt Etro is ready. Here it is...

This skirt is a lot of fun!

Previous post here.
#10 black thread, 380 g (13 3/8 oz), hook 2 mm.
It took a week to make, couple weeks to shoot pictures.
Easy project.
I have a flower print skirt, which I tried to wear underneath and didn't like it.

That pink ruffle skirt was just right for me.

May be I'll buy or make white under-skirt , let's see.
Here is 21 of them on Ravelry.

Unknown brand. Circle crochet top. Pattern.

Pattern for this one you'll find here

How to start first day of the year.

I started by hiking, hoping that depending on how you start new year is how this year is going to last.

Also I played tennis with my husband, paddle ball with my son, sewed a little present for my friend, drank a little bit of champagne, talked to you and now I am out to crochet something...
So I did all things I love and I hope this year will be full ot them. :))
Happy New Year!
