2nd annual knitting&crochet week. Day Two: 29th March. Skill + 1UP

This winter I fell in love with Irish crochet. Never did it before. Motives are not something new for me, all the same old crochet, but to make irregular net takes some practice.
My very first project:
It suppose to be a pareo. My mistake is that leaves are hanging in the air. I also would like to make a fringe, but to lazy and all I've seen in stores doesn't match and look cheap. :( Guess, I have to do it eventually.

My second project is this scarf:
There is no net in between motives, I just attached them to each other. I might add a lining to this scarf, because motives are stretching, but it looks amazing anyways.

My third project:
This is a tunic. Swear to take a picture on me. Can't wait for summer to wear it. My net is becoming better.

You can find some posts about Irish crochet on my blog.

I noticed that I like projects with not too many motives and in one color, though small projects like a scarf or a hat might be colorful. Sometimes Irish crochet pieces look like a flower bed and tasteless.
See you tomorrow!

  1. Natalia, these FO's are absolutely gorgeous! You make me want to learn Irish crochet. If only I had the time....

  2. Wow! You are amazing. Those are three really great projects!

  3. OH, thank you so much! Pareo is still fringe-less! Shame on me!
