Irish Crochet Beige Flower tunic

I finished it!!! Thanks a lot to my husband Arthur!
When I made front part and was about to give up because the tunic seemed too tight, he complemented my work (usually he criticizes). I've got a second wind to go on and added those stripes on the sides which I didn't plan in the beginning and they even added modern look to the tunic.
I don't have a picture of the tunic on me, because I still can't decide what lining should I add. Opened for advises!
Patterns/step-by-step tutorials for the flower and branch are available at

All motives are ready.

Pinned all on the pattern.

Making a net between motives.

  4. Yes, it's easy to start, much harder to finish. :)

  5. Мне очень нравится. В очередной раз убеждаюсь, что многоцветная ирландия - не для меня. Надо вязать именно в таком натуральном или винтажном цвете. И обязательно сделайте фото на себе. Хочется посмотреть!

  6. I will! My husband says I need to tan a little to make a picture! Besides I haven't decided about lining. I couldn't find anything I like in the fabric store, so I am thinking now about wearing it on a bustier and with linen pants or white skirt.

  15. Was the flower pattern you used from Irish crochet lab the - Asymmetric Daisy. Irish Crochet Motif. But just not asymmetrical?

You have done your self proud! You could sew your self a few basic shift dresses (strapless or same shape as your tunic) in diff colours so you can have lots of different outfits with your one feature piece.

Would look good with both shiny and matte fabrics!!

Thanks for sharing with us!! You have inspired me to get my backside into gear lol.

    2. Yep thats the one! its amazing how you got the stitches to sit so nicely - did you do a row of Sc around the original petals to get a better tension? Mine always end up wonky.

      Thanks :)

    3. Yes, there is a row. :)) The pattern tells you all. :)))) Good luck!
